summer salutation

Monroe, NY May 31-June 2, 2024

Since 2004 Carrie has been bringing groups to the New York Yoga Society's Ananda Ashram, a center for peaceful inquiry opened in 1964 by Sri Brahmananda Saraswati. An easy bus, train or car ride from New York, this precious jewel at the foot of the Catskills awaits your discovery.

Our crew does asana classes and other activities apart from the ashram. Yet we are invited to reap the wisdom of its offerings: meditation, joyous music, philosophy and Sanskrit studies with resident masters. And so the bliss of Ananda, with its pacific intensity and delectable vegetarian fare, supports our idyllic exploration—and celebration—of life and yoga.

Per-person rates for dorm ($399), double ($459 standard/$489 premium), single ($579/$629), and camping ($329) include:
